Last week I braved the rain and the wind and took my boys to the new Great Wheel. It was our first time and I have to say, it was AWESOME!!!! We'll be doing it again for sure!!! These images were shot on my new Mamiya 645 AF with Kodak Portra 400

I love all four of them!

Super fun Mini-Sessions today!

Is there anything better than a newborn baby?

Well shucks! I have some great clients out there! I just found out that not only have I been nominated for Red Tricycle's Totally Awesome Awards, I'm a finalist! How exciting! So a big "Thank You" to all of you who have already voted. And if you haven't had a chance to vote yet, I've added a link here to make it easy for you! Please take a moment, and vote for me! Thank you sooooo much!

It has been such an amazingly beautiful fall here in Seattle. What did we have? Like, 50 days without rain? So when I woke up on Saturday morning to the stormy skies, I was a little scared. I had a full weekend on the books! I was worried that I'd have to reschedule all of my shoots. But luckily we are hardy folk here in the Northwest and the weekend went on as planned. And what I quickly remembered once I started working is how much I LOVE shooting on stormy, rainy days! Such soft light! It's so pretty! And moody! And beautiful! And I know I sound a little crazy but... I've actually missed it. And I'm glad it's back.

So, every year I'm asked if I design Holiday cards for my clients... and I've never done it. But this year, that is gonna change! Because I have fallen in LOVE with these holiday templates! What makes them so great is that you can customize each one to fit a particular image! That means truly one-of-a-kind designs! I'll be offering them this year at my mini-sessions on November 10th and 11th, and to all my clients who come in for family photos! Cards are designed with a custom image on the front and custom greeting on the back, and then are printed professionally on a beautiful cardstock and delivered with matching envelopes. They are available in packs of 25 for $70! Whoohoo!

Fall is here! And isn’t it glorious!I really do love this time of year! And for those of you who love it too, I’ve put together a list of my favorite places for taking fall family photos. Here it is:
The Ballard Locks – Gorgeous trees and paved (none muddy) paths make this my number one favorite spot for taking fall photos.

Golden Gardens – Great spot for an evening/sunset session! Sooo pretty

Carkeek Park – I love Carkeek because it has a great beach, and beautiful trees. The best of both worlds!

The Arboretum – LOVE! Trees, cute benches, water, tall grass… it’s just fantastic!

The Olympic Sculpture Park – Want something a little more urban? Then the OSP is your place.

Gasworks Park – A classic! It's always a little windy (which I love) and it's a great spot for views of the city!

Highland Park - Best in the morning for great views of the city and pretty, pretty light!
Be sure to call or email today to get yourself on the books!
And don’t forget that I am now booking for both my Fall Mini- Sessions (Nov. 10th and 11th $150 per sitting) and for Santa photos (Nov. 24th from 9 to 4. Packages start at $30)
Thank you and have a great day!
