My Trip to Dallas: Part One
I was lucky enough to spend last week in Dallas, helping the lovely Barker family welcome their new baby boy into the world!
I could go on and on about how loving and warm these people are... but there is no need to.  You can see it in every photo!
Congratulations Kelly, Patrick and big sister Jenna!  And welcome to the world Will!
yes, we were pulled over on the way home from the hospital.  LOL!!
Introducing Little Bellows!
For the past five months, my awesome sister-in-law, Cat Thrasher,  and I have been working on a very exciting project! And I'm happy to say, that today is the day that we are finally telling the world all about it!
The project is Little Bellows.  A super cool, one of a kind blog, devoted to celebrating great family photography.
Little Bellows was born from a conversation Cat and I had about what it means to be a family photographer, and the importance of the work that we do, as and art form and heirloom.
We thought it would be so great to have a blog to go to that featured beautiful, well done photography by photographers from all around the world.  And so we made one.
Our hope is that Little Bellows will be a resource for parents looking for portrait inspiration during their children's growing years.  But also that it will inspire anyone who loves art and appreciates beautiful photography.
We couldn't be more thrilled with the line up of amazing photographers we already have on board, and can't wait to watch as our little project grows and becomes something fantastic!
We'll be featuring a new photographer everyday, Monday through Friday.  So come by often, add us to your list of favorite blogs, and leave lots of comments, we want to know what you think!!
you can find us at www.littlebellows.com  as well as on Facebook

Busy, Busy....
Wow... I haven't blogged in a while!  Sorry folks.  But I have been one busy lady.  In addition to working with my wonderful clients, I've been working on a big, top secret project with my super talented sister-in-law Cat Thrasher.  We'll be unveiling it on May 1st, so stay tuned!  And, as if thats not enough, I'm been using any free time I have to go out in the world and shoot with my Rolleiflex (and by the way... it's now officially mine!  Woohoo!)
This photo I'm posting was taken on the Rolleiflex last weekend.  Aren't they so sweet when they're sleeping!
Have a great weekend everyone!

I'm in love with my Rolleiflex

Well... technically it's not mine.  I'm borrowing this beautiful 1953 Rolleiflex from a friend, and hoping desperately that she'll sell it to me.  Isn't it a beauty!!

We weren't even sure if it would work.  But I loaded it up with some film last week and took it for a spin.  It worked... and now I want to take it every where I go.  I even dreamed about it.  Yep, I'm completely in love.

Here is a little peek at what I capture on our first trip out together.  I'm sure I'll be posting more from it soon!

enjoy!

Sunny Seattle Maternity Session!
It has been so rainy and yucky in Seattle lately.  No fun at all.  So when I woke on Saturday morning and saw that the sun was shining, I was instantly in a great mood.  And the day just got better, as I had one fantastic shoot after another.  I'll be sharing them all, so stay tuned!
These images are from Saturday's maternity shoot.  Isn't she gorgeous!!?
My boys, in film
This is what a typical Sunday looks like in my house.   I think thats why I love these images so much.  Nothing fancy.  Just my kids with their dad, enjoying a rainy Seattle afternoon building legos.  So sweet.
Congratulations Amy and Craig!
I shot Amy and Craig's wedding way back in 2008, and honesty, haven't seen them since.  So you can imagine how excited I was when they came walking through the doors of my studio yesterday, holding their adorable new baby!!  Isn't she the cutest!!   Congratulations you two!
