I'm absolutely in love with this photo. It was the last shot of the session. :)
This is another session from last week's day of film portraits! I think this little guy is so adorable!!
Little Spencer comes in every year for Santa photos, but this is the first time she's come in for a portrait shoot. And what a joy she is to work with!! We all had a great time!
If you have been following my blog recently then you already know that I've rekindle my love affair with my old flame Film. For the past several months, every photo I've taken of my own family has been taken in film and I've loved the results! So much so, that I decided that I wanted to try it in studio, with other people's children. So I sent out a newsletter, and asked my clients for volunteers. These photos are from one of those experimental photos session. I shot with three different types of film. I love the results (but the Acros 100 is definitely my favorite!) I'll share more photos from my day of film portraits soon, but for now, here is the charming Ms. Sylvia.
Fuji Neopan Acros 100

I just returned from a lovely trip to Palm Springs. It was warm and sunny everyday!! I love Seattle, but there is something to be said for January trips to the sun!! Here is a self portrait I took while there. :)
Here is a little sneak peek from the maternity session I shot on Saturday! Beautiful mamma-to-be and beautiful sunshine made for the perfect photo shoot!!
I was editing these newborn photos today and was so excited by how much I love them and how much I totally love my job that I decided to have a give away!!! My family and I decided to take an impromptu family vacation to our favorite Northwest destination, Portland Oregon. While there we were there, we stayed at our two favorite places, the Edgefield and the Kennedy School. Both are McMenamins properties, and both are completely awesome!! Here a little peak at our adventures! All images were shot on my Mamiya 645AF using Portra 400
In 2012 I fell in love with shooting film again. I'm now completely obsessed with my Rolleiflex and my Mamiya 645. My New Years resolution is to shoot at least one roll of film per week! Truth be told, I couldn't wait for the New Year to get started on my pledge. The images I'm sharing today were taken last week on my Mamiya! And today the sun is shining, so I'll be heading out into the world with my Rollei!! Happy New Year!!!
I'm so excited to announce that my image "Winky Baby" will be on display at Seattle's Museum of History and Industry as part of the "People Tower" exhibit! My family and I will be attending tomorrows grand opening celebrations to check it out! I'm so thrilled! Be sure to stop by the MOHAI at it's new location and pay Winky Baby a visit!!
